Caloundra is the southern-most community on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. It’s about 60 minutes’ drive north of Brisbane CBD, and 45 minutes from the Brisbane Airport. Sunshine Coast Airport offers flights from Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
With nine beautiful, unspoilt beaches, crystal-clear waters and a friendly, laid-back lifestyle, Caloundra is the perfect place to indulge, explore or simply unwind. |

What To Do
You can choose to stay in the centre of action by the beach, taking trips to galleries, wineries and restaurants on the Blackall range; or perhaps relax country-style in the hinterland and take in the coastal scene as part of a rural holiday.
There’s so much fun to be had in Caloundra. There are award-winning theme parks and attractions, a racetrack, bowling alley and rollerdrome. You can go-kart, scuba dive, catch a hot air balloon or try skydiving to the beach. On the water you can relax with an eco-cruise through Pumicestone Passage during the day or go for a romantic cruise into the sunset. You can hire a boat and go fishing or try your hand at windsurfing, kayaking or jet skiing. If you're game, there's even the option of sky diving - landing right on the beach. If golf is your passion try our world class Greg Norman designed course, followed by a meal and/or drinks at one of the many restaurants and cafes, wine bars and clubs.
Kids Stuff
Caloundra is fantastic for kids. With year-round patrolled beaches [safe for children], there are also many beachside playgrounds to choose from; a huge play water fountain at Kings Beach; free entry salt pool on the water’s edge; fabulous stretches of beach;
or a rock pool at the beach which is shallow and ideal for kids to play in. Sunshine |
